Description:
David grew up in Kalamazoo, MI where he attended grade school, middle school and high school. He was consistently top of his class and recognized by many academic achievements while in his pre-college career; taking a majority of advanced placement classes. After graduating, David attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He holds a BA in Economics and a minor in Psychology and graduated with honors. With the advice of a friend and colleague, David moved to Minneapolis in September 2002. He started in the mortgage business as a telemarketer and quickly rose through the ranks. In just 4 months, David attained achievements as his company's (Alpine Lending) #1 marketing agent and the only telemarketer to be promoted to a loan officer in under 6 months. His 3rd full month as a loan officer, he earned his first LO of the month designation, originating more than any other LO in his branch. At the time, his branch's current leader had consecutively held the LO of the month title for 15 months straight. Following his term at Alpine, he and 5 other loan officers assisted in opening a new mortgage company under the direction of his former branch manager. While at his 2nd company, David was honored with the title of LO of the month for 5 months in the first year, as well as earning the title of the LO of the year for the first year running. In his 2nd year, he was promoted to Branch Manager, running the company's #1 branch, consistently producing record months. David has been in charge of over $400 million in loan originations and that number is still rapidly increasing. David started with Satori Mortgage in October 2005 at the height of the boom and pre to the crash. Weathering the storm with consistent, strategic applications, David has taken Satori Mortgage from a simple, "Mom & Pop" shop to a leading producer in the Minnesota territory. David's vision will take the company's footprint into several additional states by the end of 2014, as well as grow their staff exponentially along the way. Collectively, the staff at Satori Mortgage has over 75 years of experience in the mortgage business and has originated over $1.5 billion in total loan volume.
