The present disclosure provides for informed de-icing by identifying a travel time range for an aircraft from a de-icing station to a runway; identifying a holdover window based on predicted weather conditions during the travel time range; estimating a takeoff time for the aircraft based on a takeoff queue for the runway and the travel time range; and in response to the holdover window expiring before the estimated takeoff time, delaying the aircraft from de-icing. In some aspects, informed de-icing includes, in response to identifying an aircraft scheduled for de-icing within a caution threshold of a scheduled takeoff time and to determining that a push time cannot be delayed: evaluating an effect of repeating a de-icing operation for the aircraft on flight operations; and in response to the effect exceeding an impact threshold: rescheduling the de-icing operation for the aircraft based on a new takeoff time.

A fixture for restraining a wheel of a turbomachine has a dovetail section adapted for insertion into a dovetail slot of the wheel. A mounting section is located adjacent to, or formed integrally with, the dovetail section. At least one coupling ring is attached to the mounting section, and the coupling ring is adapted to be secured to a stationary anchoring point via a restraint. The stationary anchoring point includes at least one counterbore assembly having a coupling ring attached thereto. The counterbore assembly is adapted to be secured to a stationary structure. The stationary structure may be a shell, a flange or a casing of the turbomachine.

A saddle on which an individual is seated while riding a bicycle or a motorcycle. The saddle includes a flexible base to support the rider's weight and a stationary nose cap attached to the flexible base. One end of a bumper retaining block is pivotally and detachably connected to the nose cap. A resilient bumper is located between the flexible base and the bumper retaining block. A pair of rails which runs along the bottom of the flexible base is attached to the bicycle/motorcycle. The pair of rails is coupled to the bumper retaining block to push the block towards the flexible base with the resilient bumper sandwiched therebetween. The bumper retaining block can be detached from the stationary nose cap so that the resilient bumper can be replaced by a bumper having a different density to selectively control the flexibility of the base.
