Microwavable Food Storage Container

View page
US Patent:
6649891, Nov 18, 2003
Filed:
Sep 25, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/962505
Inventors:
Anne M Kitko - Seffner FL
Ray L. Hauser - Boulder CO
Assignee:
Anne Kitko - Seffner FL
International Classification:
H05B 680
US Classification:
219732, 219725
Abstract:
A food container for use in a microwave oven is made from an inner, food contacting, glass vessel an outer plastic vessel. Because of the external plastic layer, the container has a significantly higher thermal insulating capability than a comparable glass container. This reduces the cooling rate of cooked food and provides an extra margin of handling safety. On the other hand, the internal glass vessel will not impart a plastic flavor to food stored or cooked in the vessel, and will be immune to the blistering or discoloration that sometimes occurs with plastic vessels. In some versions of the invention, free-standing glass and plastic vessels are arranged to be interfitted for use in food storage and microwave cooking, but can be easily separated for cleaning. In other versions, the glass and plastic vessels are intimately bonded together to prohibit penetration of moisture between the two vessels.

Support For A Flexible Tree Covering

View page
US Patent:
6810618, Nov 2, 2004
Filed:
Oct 8, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/681435
Inventors:
Ray L. Hauser - Boulder CO, 80301
International Classification:
A01G 1704
US Classification:
47 232, 47 296, 47 45
Abstract:
An easily and installed support for a flexible covering, such as a bird-excluding net or a thermal blanket, may be made from lightweight and readily available plastic pipe components. The support is configured as a wheel and a vertical center pole that can hold the wheel in a horizontal position above the tree, similar to an umbrella. Netting or other flexible covering is attached to the wheel before it is lifted on the center pole and carried to a tree that is to be covered.

Tool Seizing Apparatus For Deterring Vandals

View page
US Patent:
6983876, Jan 10, 2006
Filed:
Jun 7, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/862297
Inventors:
Ray L. Hauser - Boulder CO, US
International Classification:
B65D 91/00
US Classification:
232 38, 232 39
Abstract:
A bat trap provides for capturing a bat, club, or other tool or weapon used by a vandal to damage a mailbox adjacent a roadway. The trap may comprise an elongated support member; a plurality of spikes protruding through the support member from a back side of the support member so that a respective point of each spike extends outwardly from the support member by some selected minimum distance; a cover extending far enough from the support so as to cover all of the spikes; and an adhesive or mechanical fastener for attaching the support member to the mailbox so that the back side of the support abuts a traffic-facing side of the mailbox.

Odorant And Marker Capsule For Deterring Mailbox Vandalism

View page
US Patent:
7014098, Mar 21, 2006
Filed:
Jun 14, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/867367
Inventors:
Ray L Hauser - Boulder CO, US
International Classification:
B65D 91/00
US Classification:
232 38, 232 17
Abstract:
Mailbox vandalism is deterred by depositing a noxious material on a tool or weapon used by a vandal to smash a mailbox. The noxious material may be provided in a capsule fastened to a traffic-facing side of the mailbox so that a vandal's blow directed at the mailbox succeeds in fracturing the capsule and coating the vandal's tool or weapon with a noxious material. The capsule or capsules may contain any of a variety of malodorants, colorants, irritants and adhesives. The overall container may be configured as a composite capsule in which the noxious material is held within an inner glass capsule protected from environmental and accidental damage by a surrounding, relatively easily broken, outer capsule directly fastened to the protected mailbox.

System For Confirming Hit Locations On Tennis Court Boundaries

View page
US Patent:
7632197, Dec 15, 2009
Filed:
Apr 23, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/738826
Inventors:
Jeffrey Rodengen - Davie FL, US
Roger Tyzzer - Hope Island, AU
Ray L. Hauser - Boulder CO, US
Assignee:
Write Stuff Enterprises, Inc. - Fort Lauderdale FL
International Classification:
A63B 71/00
A63B 71/06
US Classification:
473467, 473606, 473490
Abstract:
The present invention is an article and process for determining the site of impact of a movable object on a treated surface, where a tennis ball is treated with a striking composition, and a boundary line region is treated with a receiving composition such that when the striking composition and the receiving composition are in physical contact, a calorimetric indicator is left on the receiving composition to indicate the point of contact.

Composite Ice Blade

View page
US Patent:
7866675, Jan 11, 2011
Filed:
Apr 5, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/754589
Inventors:
Ray L. Hauser - Boulder CO, US
International Classification:
A63C 1/34
US Classification:
280 1118, 280 1112
Abstract:
A composite ice blade may have a metal ice edge bonded to a metal foil. The metal foil may be bonded to a plastic core to form a composite sandwich having a center plastic core and metal sides. The ice edge may be bonded to the foil by welding or brazing, then formed into shape to accept the plastic core. The plastic core may be injection molded directly into the formed metal structure, or bonded to the metal components in a secondary operation.

Inner Drive For Magnetic Drive Pump

View page
US Patent:
8333666, Dec 18, 2012
Filed:
Mar 5, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/718236
Inventors:
Andrew Magnus Ekberg - Superior CO, US
Kerry E. Kramlich - Littleton CO, US
Scott Marvin Allen - Evergreen CO, US
David M. Carr - Superior CO, US
Ray L. Hauser - Boulder CO, US
Assignee:
Sundyne Corporation - Arvada CO
International Classification:
F16D 27/00
H02K 15/00
H02K 49/00
US Classification:
464 29, 417420, 4174237, 310104
Abstract:
An inner drive for a magnetic drive pump includes a magnet supported on a yoke. The inner drive is driven about an axis to pump a corrosive process fluid. The magnet and yoke are fully encapsulated during the molding process to completely surround the magnet and yoke in a protective plastic shell. A sleeve is arranged radially outwardly of the magnet to provide further protection. Backing rings are arranged on either side of the magnet. A bonding material joins the plastic shell to the backing rings and sleeve to prevent a space from forming beneath the plastic shell that would become filled with the process fluid once it has permeated the plastic shell. A protective coating is arranged on at least a portion of the magnet to further insulate the magnet from the process fluid.
