Strong background in all aspects of project design, design development, production of contract documents, construction administration, and quality control. Experience with the renovation of existing buildings as well as new construction for educational, health care, mixed use, financial, commercial, communications, retail, residential, and industrial projects in all types of construction and in both the private and public sectors. Experience in developing Scoping, Criteria, or Bridging Documents for projects built under nontraditional project delivery methods. Familiar with both LEED and CHPS requirements, procedures, and certification processes. Design Qualifications: Familiar with a number of design methods and concepts along with green building systems. Excellent knowledge of Federal and State ADA requirements and conflicts. Knowledgeable in the design of active and passive solar systems. Dealt with the design of security systems for AT&T, Bank of America, and Charles Schwab. Office and Project Management Qualifications: Experienced business owner, office manager, principal architect, business consultant, and design builder. 15 years of troubleshooting projects that were behind schedule and over budget. Capable of developing project plans, action plans, and schedules. Experienced at managing staff, consultants, government agencies, end users, and clients so that the project progresses as planned. Able to develop estimates that include probabilities of success and accurately track project performance. Ability to develop critical path diagrams and evaluate them using linear programming to determine where to apply limited resources to minimize time or cost and to maximize profits. Capable of providing net present value calculations to determine the most profitable choice between multiple solutions. Able to quickly identify changes in project scope and to negotiate the necessary change orders with the client to keep the project on schedule and within budget. Capable of providing QA/QC reviews along with constructability reviews in order to identify and correct major errors, conflicts, and inefficiencies before they become costly mistakes. Construction Administration Qualifications: Knowledgeable of construction methods and procedures. Experience with the construction administration process and documentation. Capable of working closely with owners, contractors, sub-contractors, designers, and consultants to develop creative solutions to construction issues that minimize impacts to the construction schedule and budget, while at the same time, assuring compliance with the contract documents. Computer Qualifications: Proficient in the use of Windows XP, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Pagemaker, and Illustrator. Advance training in the use of AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, and Revit. Capable of customizing AutoCAD by developing macros, LISP routines, and script files.
