Abstract:
A band which is preferably made of lightweight aluminum, but can be made of any metal or other durable material, is placed around the top of boot . Attached to band are two straps , extending down from band , under boot just ahead of heel . Spike mount is movably attached to strap . Spike has a head which fits into slot in spike mount . In use, a worker wears the assembly , one on each boot . Spike is installed in spike mount . The worker forces spike into the pole, tree, or other object he or she desires to climb. In effect, this turns invention into a “step”, allowing the worker to climb up and down as desired. When not in use, spike can be removed from spike mount and stored in spike holder
