Darrin W. Beardslee - Bowling Green KY, US
Derek W. Schrock - Bowling Green KY, US
Andrey V. Livchak - Bowling Green KY, US
Assignee:
Oy Halton Group Ltd. - Helsinki
International Classification:
C02F 1/32
B01J 19/12
B01J 19/08
B01D 53/74
US Classification:
4221863, 422 4, 422 24, 422121, 96224
Abstract:
An ultraviolet treatment chamber for treating exhaust streams, particularly those containing organic particulates, utilizes ultraviolet light energy very efficiently. This is done by setting up a circulating flow in a treatment plenum so that all of the effluent experiences a substantially uniform residence time without the need for baffles or other flow controllers that would block the ultraviolet light.

High Efficiency Grease Filter Cartridge

View page
US Patent:
7993423, Aug 9, 2011
Filed:
Jul 7, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/499035
Inventors:
Pekka Kyllönen - Lahti, FI
Rick A. Bagwell - Scottsville KY, US
Darrin W. Beardslee - Bowling Green KY, US
Andrey V. Livchak - Bowling Green KY, US
Derek W. Schrock - Bowling Green KY, US
Assignee:
Oy Halton Group Ltd.
International Classification:
B01D 45/12
US Classification:
55345, 55346, 55348, 55447, 55DIG 31, 55DIG 36
Abstract:
A grease filter has a filtering portion configured such that fumes enter a major face thereof and flow through a grease extraction filter therewithin in a direction parallel to the major face. A frame that fits into an opening of a hood defines a box structure that is configured to allow flow from the end (or ends) of the filtering portion where flow exits. The frame permits the flow to exit to a side opposite the face even when the frame is surrounded, edgewise, by a solid structure of the hood opening.

Low Profile Exhaust Hood

View page
US Patent:
20080308088, Dec 18, 2008
Filed:
Jan 6, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/722378
Inventors:
Andrey V. Livchak - Bowling Green KY, US
Derek W. Schrock - Bowling Green KY, US
Rick A. Bagwell - Scottsville KY, US
Darrin W. Beardslee - Bowling Green KY, US
Assignee:
Oy Halton Group Ltd. - Vantaa
International Classification:
F24C 15/20
US Classification:
126299 R
Abstract:
A low profile exhaust hood has a high inlet and a high aspect ratio of horizontal to vertical. A sloping wall of the recess guides hot plumes upwardly to the inlet. The inlet is sized to provide an exhaust face velocity that is at least as high as a highest possible plume velocity for a 400 F oven. The inlet is located high and forwardly to cause a suction zone to be generated near the forward edge of the hood to aid in capturing plumes tending to escape which are remote from the sloping wall.

Damper Suitable For Liquid Aerosol-Laden Flow Streams

View page
US Patent:
20090093210, Apr 9, 2009
Filed:
Oct 9, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/248261
Inventors:
Andrey V. Livchak - Bowling Green KY, US
Derek W. Schrock - Bowling Green KY, US
Darrin W. Beardslee - Bowling Green KY, US
Andrew C. Faller - Smiths Grove KY, US
Assignee:
Oy Halton Group Ltd. - Vantaa
International Classification:
F24F 13/15
US Classification:
454363, 126285 B
Abstract:
A flow control device has a duct section with a plurality of damper blocking elements, each having a major plane. The damper blocking elements are pivotably connected to the duct section and movable in a range that is limited to ensure that, when the duct section is mounted in a preferred orientation, the damper blocking element major planes always form an angle of at least 45 degrees from the horizontal throughout the range. The range is such that the plurality of damper blocking elements can selectively close and open the duct. The blocking elements can completely close the duct, for example, to block natural convection.
