Abstract:
A system and method for determining instantaneously the three-dimensional coordinates of large sets of points in space is disclosed. This system uses two or more CCD cameras (or any other type of camera), each with its own lens and pinhole. The CCD's are all arranged so that the pixel arrays are within the same plane. The CCD's are also arranged in a predefined pattern. The combination of the multiple images acquired from the CCD's onto one single image forms a pattern, which is dictated by the predefined arrangement of the CCD's. The size and centroid on the combined image are a direct measure of the depth location Z and in-plane position (X,Y), respectively. The use of a predefined pattern enables high speed computation through simple algorithmic procedures. Moreover, the use of CCD cameras allows for the recording of such datasets at the corresponding image frame rate, thus opening the use of the invention to the mapping of dynamical systems.

Abstract:
A device, system, and method for measuring the depth of a material layer such as a blood vessel plaque layer is disclosed. A fiber optic bundle housed in a balloon catheter projects a laser dot toward a conical mirror, which reflects the dot perpendicularly onto the surface of the plaque. The laser dot is reflected back from the plaque layer with a substantially Gaussian intensity profile. The conical mirror directs the reflected image back to the fiber optic bundle, which delivers the image to a sensor. The depth of the plaque layer can be determined by comparing the diameter of the image intensity profile to a pre-obtained normalized data set.

A network of high-resolution cameras for monitoring and controlling a drone within a specific operational environment such that the latency time for communication between the cameras and drone is less than that of human controlled drones. The drone can communication drone health data to the network of cameras where such information can be combined with visual image data of the drone to determine the appropriate flight path of the drone within the operational environment. A loudspeaker system can have first and second loudspeakers selectively operable in a single-channel mode or in a multi-channel mode. In the single-channel mode, the first and the second loudspeakers are configured to simultaneously reproduce a substantially identical signal. In the multi-channel mode, the first loudspeaker reproduces a first-channel signal and the second loudspeaker reproduces a second-channel signal. The first-channel signal and the second-channel signal can constitute respective portions of a multi-channel signal. Such loudspeaker systems can also have a mode selector configured to select one of the single-channel mode and the multi-channel mode. In some embodiments, such selection can occur in response to one or more detected proximities of another loudspeaker system. Multi-zone loudspeaker systems are also disclosed.

Abstract:
Systems, methods and apparatuses are provided for the measurement of intraocular pressure. These systems, methods and apparatuses can include an imaging apparatus for capturing two- or three-dimensional images or video of a patient's eye. An image reconstruction based on the captured images or video can be performed, and measurements can be taken of blood vessel features, curvature metrics, or distances between point pairs. In some embodiments, blood pressure measurements can also be taken synchronously with the captured images or video. From these measurements, a relationship between certain medical condition (e.g., elevated intraocular pressure, heart arrhythmia) and the extracted metrics can be established.
