Process For The Cryogenic Treatment Of Metal Containing Materials

View page
US Patent:
58756361, Mar 2, 1999
Filed:
Oct 1, 1997
Appl. No.:
8/941739
Inventors:
Dennis J. Kamody - New Kensington PA
Assignee:
Nu-Bit, Inc. - New Kensington PA
International Classification:
F25D 1306
US Classification:
62 64
Abstract:
A process for treating an article of metal containing material having a minimum cross-sectional dimension. The process includes providing the article at ambient temperature or below and completely immersing the article in a cryogenic fluid over a time period at least equal to 10 minutes times a value of the minimum cross-sectional dimension in inches. The process further includes withdrawing the article from contact with the cryogenic fluid, and immediately subjecting the article to a flow of gaseous fluid sufficient to raise the temperature of the article until the article reaches ambient temperature.

Process For The Cryogenic Treatment Of Metal Containing Materials

US Patent:
52592006, Nov 9, 1993
Filed:
Aug 30, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/753162
Inventors:
Dennis J. Kamody - Pittsburgh PA
Assignee:
Nu-Bit, Inc. - New Kensington PA
International Classification:
F25D 1306
C21D 918
US Classification:
62 64
Abstract:
A process for treating an article of metal containing material such as tool steel so as to improve the properties such as shockability, wearability, stability and hardness of the article. In one embodiment, the process comprises immersing the article at ambient temperature into liquid cryogenic material for a time period up to or equal to a set time period equal to the minimum cross-sectional dimension in inches times ten minutes. The article is then withdrawn from contact with the liquid cryogenic material and immediately subjected to a flow of air sufficient to raise the temperature of the article to ambient temperature in a period of time equal to or less than ten minutes plus ten minutes per minimum cross-sectional dimension in inches.

Counter/Table Top Cleaning Pad-Squeegee Wiper Combination And Method Of Use

View page
US Patent:
20190191954, Jun 27, 2019
Filed:
Jul 11, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/032778
Inventors:
Dennis Kamody - Pittsburgh PA, US
International Classification:
A47L 13/12
A47L 13/11
A47L 13/16
A47L 13/46
Abstract:
A combined cleaning-pad and squeegee-wiper trowel assembly suitable for a natural wrist-controlled hand-held action to wash and dry a counter or tabletop surface more efficiently (quickly, and with less paper waste generation). The cleaning-pad permanently or temporarily adheres to a trowel base having a squeegee-wiper extending substantially parallel to the base of this assembly and substantially perpendicular to its central handle. The spacing between cleaning pad and squeegee-wiper, and the angle of the latter relative to the surface being dried therewith are critical to this invention. A method for using this combination cleaning-drying trowel is also disclosed.

US Patent:
20180066449, Mar 8, 2018
Filed:
Oct 10, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/729133
Inventors:
Dennis Kamody - Pittsburgh PA, US
Candice Kamody Welsh - Pittsburgh PA, US
International Classification:
E05B 15/02
Abstract:
A door strike plate that can be temporarily mounted to a first location for proper alignment, tested while still temporarily mounted and moved to a second location if the first location is not properly aligned. It comprises a metal strike plate having a plurality of mounting screw holes on either side of a centrally-located latch hole; an appropriately sized dot of an adhesive/putty applied to a region adjacent each mounting screw hole. The door strike plate further includes a permanent mounting screw for each mounting screw hole in the metal strike plate.
