View page
US Patent:
8158906, Apr 17, 2012
Filed:
Nov 30, 2006
Appl. No.:
12/086798
Inventors:
Francis-Jurjen Ladru - Berlin, DE
Gerhard Reich - Berlin, DE
Helge Reymann - Briarcliff Manor NY, US
Assignee:
Siemens Aktiengesellschaft - Munich
International Classification:
B23K 9/04
US Classification:
219137R, 219137 WM, 21912113, 21912114, 21912145, 21912146, 21912163, 21912164, 219 7616
Abstract:
Conventional welding methods have the disadvantage of producing worse welded joints at the beginning of the process than in the later course of the method. The method in question uses an initializing plate on which the welding process is begun and then once a consistent quality can be achieved for the welded joint continues onto the points for repair.

Peening Device

View page
US Patent:
8578745, Nov 12, 2013
Filed:
Apr 13, 2007
Appl. No.:
12/227739
Inventors:
Thomas Berndt - Berlin, DE
Helge Reymann - Briarcliff Manor NY, US
Assignee:
Siemens Aktiengesellschaft - München
International Classification:
C21D 7/06
B21C 37/30
B24B 39/00
US Classification:
72 53, 29 907
Abstract:
The invention relates to a peening device for peening a component with a part to be peened and a part not to be peened. The peening device comprises a chamber with at least one opening located therein, wherein the opening is dimensioned in such a manner that the part not to be peened of the component can be guided there through, and a fixture for retaining the component which features a section which entirely covers the opening of the chamber when the part not to be peened is at least partially guided into said opening, and said section completely encloses the part not to be peened of the component between the adjacent region of the part to be peened of the component and the opening.

Method And Device For Coating Of A Component Part

View page
US Patent:
20070196574, Aug 23, 2007
Filed:
Jan 9, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/651362
Inventors:
Thomas Berndt - Berlin, DE
Helge Reymann - Briarcliff Manor NY, US
International Classification:
C23C 16/00
US Classification:
427248100, 118726000, 118730000
Abstract:
A method for coating of a component part is made available, in which an evaporating of a coating material from a material feeder at low ambient pressure is brought about. The component part which is to be coated is located sufficiently near to the material feeder in such a way that, as a result, a depositing of vaporized coating material on the surface of the component part is brought about. A rotation of the component part around a rotational axis takes place while it is located sufficiently near to the material feeder for the bringing about of the depositing of coating material. The rotational axis is pivoted from a standard position towards the material feeder before or during the coating.

Holder For Holding A Metal Component Part Of A Turbine

View page
US Patent:
20070274831, Nov 29, 2007
Filed:
Jan 9, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/651378
Inventors:
Thomas Beck - Panketal, DE
Thomas Berndt - Berlin, DE
Gerhard Reich - Berlin, DE
Helge Reymann - Briarcliff Manor NY, US
International Classification:
F01D 5/18
US Classification:
41609700R
Abstract:
A holder for holding a metal component part, which has at least one internal passage which is accessible by an opening in an external surface of the component part. The holder is equipped with a bearing element, which comprises a bearing surface, which is designed in such a way that it allows a seating of the component part on the bearing element, and in this case serves as a support for at least a part of the external surface of the component part which has the opening, and a flow passage, which leads through the bearing element, with at least one outlet opening located in the bearing surface. The outlet opening is located in the bearing surface in such a way that, with the component part seated, it lies opposite the opening of the internal passage. Furthermore, the outlet opening in shape and flow cross section is adapted to the opening of the internal passage.

Process For Preparing Turbine Blades Or Vanes For A Subsequent Treatment, And Associated Turbine Blade Or Vane

View page
US Patent:
20100254818, Oct 7, 2010
Filed:
Jan 10, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/651706
Inventors:
Halis Bozdogan - Berlin, DE
Francis-Jurjen Ladru - Berlin, DE
Jean Muller - Berlin, DE
Helge Reymann - Briarcliff Manor NY, US
Manuel Schusch - Berlin, DE
International Classification:
F01D 5/14
B21D 53/78
F04D 29/38
US Classification:
416223 R, 298897
Abstract:
Process for preparing turbine blades or vanes for a subsequent treatment, for example the application of a coating and/or a material-removing operation, wherein the turbine blade or vane has an airfoil, which is delimited at at least one end by an endplate with peripheral surfaces, wherein at least one of the peripheral surfaces is at least partially covered prior to the treatment of the turbine blade or vane. In the process a covering strip is fitted onto at least one peripheral surface to form a plug connection.
