Filed:
Jan 12, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/685686
Inventors:
Michael Gillam - Washington DC, US
John Christopher Gillotte - Washington DC, US
Craig Frederick Feied - Kirkland WA, US
Jonathan Alan Handler - Northbrook IL, US
Renato Reder Cazangi - Rockville MD, US
Rajesh Kutpadi Hegde - Redmond WA, US
Zhengyou Zhang - Bellevue WA, US
Cha Zhang - Sammamish WA, US
Assignee:
Microsoft Corporation - Redmond WA
International Classification:
G06K 9/00
US Classification:
382103
Abstract:
Described is a technology by which medical patient facial images are acquired and maintained for associating with a patient's records and/or other items. A video camera may provide video frames, such as captured when a patient is being admitted to a hospital. Face detection may be employed to clip the facial part from the frame. Multiple images of a patient's face may be displayed on a user interface to allow selection of a representative image. Also described is obtaining the patient images by processing electronic documents (e.g., patient records) to look for a face pictured therein.

US Patent:
20110301966, Dec 8, 2011
Filed:
Jun 7, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/795604
Inventors:
Uri Kartoun - Washington DC, US
John Christopher Gillotte - Metamora MI, US
Prabhdeep Singh - Germantown MD, US
Michael Todd Gillam - Washington DC, US
Craig F. Feied - Kirkland WA, US
Jonathan Alan Handler - Northbrook IL, US
Assignee:
MICROSOFT CORPORATION - Redmond WA
International Classification:
G06F 17/27
G06Q 50/00
G06F 3/048
G06Q 10/00
G06F 17/24
G06F 15/16
US Classification:
705 2, 715256, 715277, 709203, 715781, 704 9
Abstract:
The synchronous semantic processing technique described herein provides the level of completeness of a document in real-time as a user is creating or editing the document and provides recommendations to the user to increase the level of completeness. In one embodiment, the level of completeness of a medical document, and the state of the components of the document that are used to determine level, are used to make recommendations to a user (e.g., a physician) to provide additional information for the components that determine the level, thereby increasing the level. The level of medical documentation can be represented by an Evaluation and Management (E&M) coding level, which is a U.S. standard defined to evaluate how comprehensive a medical document is. The E&M level is used to determine the completeness of the medical document and to make recommendations to the user to improve the quality and the completeness of the document.

The example can decrypt at least a portion of the encrypted patient data to produce decrypted patient data. The example can provide at least some of the decrypted patient data to the second entity.

System And Method For Computerized Recommendation Delivery, Tracking, And Prioritization

View page
US Patent:
20150039549, Feb 5, 2015
Filed:
Jul 30, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/447586
Inventors:
- Park Ridge IL, US
John Gillotte - Chicago IL, US
International Classification:
G06N 5/04
G06F 17/30
H04L 29/08
US Classification:
706 46
Abstract:
A system and method for recommendation delivery and tracking is provided. Users may use a smartphone enabled recommendation system to select products or media such as movies to recommend to other users. In one embodiment, the user uses the recommendation system to select a movie and select a recipient and the recommended movie is transmitted to the recipient. At the recipient, received recommendations are prioritized based on factors including the identity of the sender including the sender's overall recommendation approval rating and/or the specific-recipient approval rating. The recipient then evaluates and rates the recommendation and the rating is used in future recommendation prioritization.
