About:
I was born and raised in Iowa and moved to Boston, Massachusetts when I was in my late twenties. I lived in Massachusetts for 23 years until my family and I decided to move to Asheville, North Carolina for a much-anticipated life-style change. That was nine years ago and we have never looked back. In 2005 I decided to make a career change into Real Estate. I imagined that being a Realtor would give me much of what I was looking for in a career: flexibility, a chance to get involved with my community, and a career in which I would be learning all of the time. Also, it was a way for me to build a business in a growing community. Working as a Century 21 Mountain Lifestyles Realtor has afforded me a way to build my business with the support of a professional, ethical, and creative environment. I received my Agent license in the fall of 2005, my Broker license in the spring of 2006. Within the first year of being a Realtor I was certified as an ECO Agent (Environmental Consultant). In 2007 I finished course work and executed the number of buyer-side transactions necessary to receive the ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative) designation. I am expecting the Affordable Housing Specialist Certificate in June of this year. I received the Bronze Award for Sales Excellence for 2007 and 2009. I received the Quality Service Team Award in 2008 and the Pinnacle Quality Team Award in 2009. What this means for you as a consumer is that I not only take the role of Realtor® seriously but take my role as a citizen seriously and seek ways in which we can all live in a more sustainable and ethical manner.
