Reverse Power Y-Adapter

View page
US Patent:
20120194163, Aug 2, 2012
Filed:
Jan 27, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/360115
Inventors:
Kenneth E. Pagenkopf - Shorewood WI, US
International Classification:
G05F 3/04
US Classification:
323311
Abstract:
A power Y-adapter provides power at a high voltage to an output end from at least two input ends to which power of a lower voltage and a phase difference is provided and includes a first polarity sensitive current isolation device, a second polarity sensitive current isolation device, a control section, and an output section. When the voltage signals supplied to the hot wire terminals of the first input connector and the second input connector sufficiently are out of phase, the Y-adapter can produce a voltage of higher magnitude between the first and the second hot wire terminals of the output connector.

Abstract:
An electromagnetic interference filter for reducing conducted noise for alternating current power lines, wherein a compact component geometry integrates matched material characteristics to create a coaxial inductor and square axisymmetric capacitor configuration capable of providing reduced size, increased frequency performance and improved voltage isolation over traditional magnet wire construction methods.

Adjustable Inductor And Method Of Using The Same

View page
US Patent:
20230079125, Mar 16, 2023
Filed:
Sep 26, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/952870
Inventors:
- Shelton CT, US
Kenneth Edward Pagenkopf - Shorewood WI, US
International Classification:
H01F 21/04
H03H 7/01
H01F 27/28
H01F 27/24
Abstract:
An adjustable inductor including a toroidal core defining a plurality of gaps, a compressible gap material positioned in the gaps, at least one winding wound on the core, a force-applying structure, and a film substantially covering the adjustable inductor. The force-applying structure is operable to apply a force to the core to adjust the gaps and thereby an inductance of the adjustable inductor. The film is configured to prevent movement of force-applying structure when above a predetermined temperature threshold, and allow movement of the force-applying structure when below the predetermined threshold.

Alternating Current (Ac) Voltage Regulator And Method Of Operating The Same

View page
US Patent:
20200403524, Dec 24, 2020
Filed:
Jun 11, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/899184
Inventors:
- Shelton CT, US
Kenneth Edward Pagenkopf - Shorewood WI, US
International Classification:
H02M 7/04
H02M 1/44
Abstract:
An alternating-current (AC) voltage regulator configured to receive an input voltage. The regulator including an AC/DC pulse-width modulated (PWM) power supply configured to receive the input voltage and output a direct-current (DC) signal isolated from the input voltage. The regulator including a control circuit configured to receive a portion of the input voltage, adjust an amplitude and a phase of the portion of the input voltage, and output the adjusted voltage. The regulator including an amplifier configured to receive, via an power input, the isolated DC signal; receive, via a first input, the adjusted voltage; receive a feedback loop from an amplifier output to a second input; and output, via the amplifier output, a differential signal. The regulator including an output configured to add the differential signal to the input voltage resulting in a regulated voltage, and output the regulated voltage.
