Method, System And Apparatus For Efficient Packet Analysis

View page
US Patent:
20110051606, Mar 3, 2011
Filed:
Aug 28, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/550049
Inventors:
Zachary Cutlip - Silver Spring MD, US
Lewis R. Raszewski - Baltimore MD, US
Charles D. Sellers - Columbia MD, US
Assignee:
Tresys Technology, LLC - Columbia MD
International Classification:
H04L 12/26
H04L 12/56
US Classification:
370252, 370401
Abstract:
A system, method, and apparatus that efficiently and stringently analyze messages are provided. A message's properties are encoded into a bitwise representation of fixed length, which is compared to a binary representation of each rule from a release policy to determine if the rule is satisfied. This process is efficient and allows near real time comparisons and decisions.

Heat Sealing And Packaging

View page
US Patent:
46930566, Sep 15, 1987
Filed:
Oct 4, 1985
Appl. No.:
6/783430
Inventors:
Lewis R. Raszewski - Stevensville MD
Assignee:
The Crowell Corporation - Newport DE
International Classification:
B65B 902
B65B 2300
US Classification:
53450
Abstract:
Sealing of elongated packaging laminates of backed antistatic foam around spaced articles being packaged, using edge seals made by first applying heated melting shoes against foam edges of both laminates, then joining the melted foam edges and subjecting the assembly to rollers that press together the joined laminates. Preferably the backing has aluminum layer secured to the foam by pressure-sensitive adhesive. Edge seals can be further subjected to pressure sustained for at least about a second, as while similar pressure is used to apply transverse heat seals to the edge-jointed laminates.

Manufacture And Use Of Cushiony Packaging

View page
US Patent:
49505238, Aug 21, 1990
Filed:
Aug 6, 1987
Appl. No.:
7/082794
Inventors:
Lewis R. Raszewski - Stevensville MD
Assignee:
The Crowell Corporation - Newport DE
International Classification:
B32B 326
US Classification:
428159
Abstract:
Plastic foam is applied by pushing it through or spreading it with notched spreader onto support to which it adheres and sets, forming a foam cushion in stripes that can be very close together or quite far apart. Stripes can be straight or wavy and support can be paper or plastic film such as polyethylene terephthalate. Foam can contain or be coated with antistat and/or volatile corrosion inhibitor and can be made of heat-sealable plastic or can be cold sealed by adhesives such as cohesive-nonadhesive top coatings.

Packaging Laminate

View page
US Patent:
46982540, Oct 6, 1987
Filed:
Dec 12, 1986
Appl. No.:
6/940566
Inventors:
Lewis R. Raszewski - Stevensville MD
Assignee:
The Crowell Corporation - Newport DE
International Classification:
B32B 700
B32B 1508
B32B 1518
B32B 1520
US Classification:
428215
Abstract:
Packaging with a laminate of cushiony foam adhered to polyethylene terephthalate backing sheet which is metallized on both faces, or adhered to iron foil or to a sandwich of iron foils separated from each other by non-magnetic layer. Laminates can be formed into envelope. Exposed face of foam layer can carry antistat to keep static electricity from building up when article to be packaged is slid over that face.

Tree Protection And Transparent Wrapping

View page
US Patent:
50350781, Jul 30, 1991
Filed:
Mar 1, 1989
Appl. No.:
7/317822
Inventors:
Jerome J. Kipnees - Cranbury NJ
Lewis R. Raszewski - Stevensville MD
Assignee:
The Crowell Corporation - Newport DE
International Classification:
A01G 1712
US Classification:
47 24
Abstract:
Citrus tree is protected against freeze damage by wrap that keeps moisture from wrapped surface of tree. Wrap can be transparent to permit inspection and transparent wrap can also be used for packaging other products such as electrical components, particularly those sensitive to static charge build-up.

Packaging Bag

View page
US Patent:
49879979, Jan 29, 1991
Filed:
May 31, 1988
Appl. No.:
7/200671
Inventors:
Lewis R. Raszewski - Stevensville MD
Jerome J. Kipnees - Cranbury NJ
Assignee:
The Crowell Corporation - Newport DE
International Classification:
B65D 2718
US Classification:
206328
Abstract:
A bag for holding and protecting articles sensitive to mechanical damage as well as to electric fields, the walls of the bag being essentially a layer of cushiony microfoam about 1 to about 4 millimeters thick, an essentially unfoamed polyethylene coating about 25 to about 100 microns thick on the inside surface of the microfoam, an essentially unfoamed support layer on the opposite surface of the microfoam, at least one face of the support layer being treated to protect the bag contents against external electric fields, and the polyethylene coating carrying sufficient antistat to protect the bag contents against the build-up of static electricity to the intensity that damages those contents when they are slid into the bag.

Protective Wrapping

View page
US Patent:
49809911, Jan 1, 1991
Filed:
Nov 14, 1986
Appl. No.:
6/931215
Inventors:
Jerome J. Kipnees - Cranbury NJ
Lewis R. Raszewski - Stevensville MD
Assignee:
The Crowell Corporation - Newport DE
International Classification:
A01G 1302
US Classification:
47 2
Abstract:
Sheet of yieldable plastic foam, suitably supported by laminating to support film, or by providing an unfoamed skin on its surface makes an effective protective wrap for trees and for metal coils. Young orange trees can have trunks wrapped with many turns of very yieldable thick foam sheet treated to prevent the passage of radiant energy as by a metallized polyethylene terephthalate support film, provides very effective protection against freeze damage. Only one or two turns of thinner laminate protects grape arbors against undesired budding in winter. Foam backed with cross-tensilized polyethylene sheets provides excellent protective covering for metal coils.
