Three Door Structure For Partial Recirculation In An Air Conditioning System

View page
US Patent:
20140065942, Mar 6, 2014
Filed:
Aug 28, 2013
Appl. No.:
14/011895
Inventors:
Gregory THOMPSON - Ortonville MI, US
Raymond BAILEY - South Lyon MI, US
Melissa BUCZEK - Orion MI, US
Simon HOTTE - Windsor, CA
Assignee:
DENSO INTERNATIONAL AMERICA, INC. - Southfield MI
International Classification:
B60H 1/00
B60H 1/24
US Classification:
454265, 454236
Abstract:
A heating, ventilation and air conditioning system includes a blower unit that has a first interior air intake, a second interior air intake and an exterior air intake. Three doors are moved between open and closed positions to define a recirculation mode, a fresh mode and a partial recirculation mode. As the doors move between their open and closed positions, a variable partial mode and a variable fresh mode are defined.

US Patent:
20140060776, Mar 6, 2014
Filed:
Aug 27, 2013
Appl. No.:
14/010647
Inventors:
- KARIYA-CITY, JP
Raymond BAILEY - South Lyon MI, US
Melissa BUCZEK - Orion MI, US
Assignee:
DENSO CORPORATION - KARIYA-CITY
DENSO INTERNATIONAL AMERICA, INC. - SOUTHFIELD MI
International Classification:
B60H 1/00
US Classification:
165 59, 62404
Abstract:
A heating, ventilation and air conditioning system includes a case having a face outlet and a foot outlet. A door is movable between a first position closing the face outlet and opening the foot outlet and a second position opening the face outlet and closing the foot outlet. A bypass passage allows air flow around the door when the door is in the second position to allow a specified amount of air flow to the foot outlet when the door closes the foot outlet.

Quieter Centrifugal Blower With Suppressed Bpf Tone

View page
US Patent:
20150316070, Nov 5, 2015
Filed:
Apr 30, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/266051
Inventors:
- Southfield MI, US
- Kariya-shi, JP
Prakash Thawani - Bloomfield Hills MI, US
Melissa Buczek - Orion MI, US
Jie Zeng - Windsor, CA
Assignee:
DENSO International America, Inc. - Southfield MI
DENSO CORPORATION - Kariya-shi
International Classification:
F04D 29/42
F04D 29/66
Abstract:
A centrifugal blower assembly including a ring-shaped planar portion and a sloped guide surface. The ring-shaped planar portion defines a central aperture at which a centrifugal fan is seated. The ring-shaped planar portion is elevated relative to a lower surface of a scroll casing. The sloped guide surface is between the ring-shaped planar portion and the lower surface of the scroll casing. The sloped guide surface slopes towards the lower surface, and extends in a downstream direction towards a partition of the scroll casing at a scroll starting position of the scroll casing.

Convex Grid Shape To Reduce Turbulence Under Rotary Door

View page
US Patent:
20140335774, Nov 13, 2014
Filed:
May 10, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/891766
Inventors:
- Southfield MI, US
Nicholas Mazzocco - Clawson MI, US
Daniel Okray - St. Clair Shores MI, US
Kurt Schulz - Commerce Township MI, US
Melissa Buczek - Orion Township MI, US
Assignee:
DENSO International America, Inc. - Southfield MI
International Classification:
B60H 1/00
B60H 1/26
US Classification:
454139, 454149
Abstract:
A fresh air and recirculation air switching case using a rotary door, since an introduced air flows along an inner surface of a circumferential wall of the rotary door, a convex grid is formed on an inner surface of the circumferential wall of the rotary door. In this system, the air flow directed toward a suction inlet is prevented from becoming turbulent behind the rotary door and the air flow noise can be suppressed.
