Multi-Position Support For Pto Drive

View page
US Patent:
7490799, Feb 17, 2009
Filed:
Jun 22, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/158436
Inventors:
Terry A. Young - Ephrata PA, US
Michael L. Bandi - Okeechobee FL, US
Assignee:
CNH America LLC - New Holland PA
International Classification:
A47B 96/06
US Classification:
24822041, 24822022, 24828911, 211 18
Abstract:
A multi-position support mechanism for an implement that employs an elongate member pivotably mounted at one end to the tongue of the implement and having a hook on the opposing end. The pivotable connection between the tongue and the elongate member provides a plurality of generally fixed positions, at least one where the hook supports the vehicle pto coupler, at least one for supporting hydraulic hoses, and at least one storage position where the elongate member and the hook are not in use.

Device For Reducing Debris Accumulation In A Rotary Cutterhead

View page
US Patent:
7647758, Jan 19, 2010
Filed:
Oct 30, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/262081
Inventors:
Michael L. Bandi - Okeechobee FL, US
Douglas R. Otto - Ephrata PA, US
Assignee:
CNH America LLC - New Holland PA
International Classification:
A01D 34/73
US Classification:
56295
Abstract:
A scraper device for connection to the knife connector in a rotary cutterhead and for rotation therewith that prevents debris from accumulating in the space between the knife and the cutterhead housing and which also dislodges accumulated debris from areas adjacent to the space between the knife and the cutterhead housing.

Transport Latch For Pull-Type Harvesters

View page
US Patent:
58062912, Sep 15, 1998
Filed:
Jun 25, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/673677
Inventors:
Barry E. Lehman - York PA
Michael L. Bandi - Okeechobee FL
Galen R. Erb - Brownstown PA
Assignee:
New Holland North America, Inc. - New Holland PA
International Classification:
A01D 3224
US Classification:
56 152
Abstract:
A pull-type mower conditioner includes a crop harvesting header vertically movable relative to the frame of the mower conditioner between a raised transport position and a lowered operative position, a lift mechanism to effect the movement of the crop harvesting header relative to the frame, and a transport latch mechanism to control the locking of the lift mechanism in the transport position. The transport latch mechanism has a biasing lever operably positionable between locking and unlocking positions. An extension spring is connected to the biasing lever to bias the lever in the selectable positions. The transport latch will not engage whenever the header is moved to the transport position to avoid an obstacle unless the biasing lever is moved to the lock position. Once the biasing lever is adjusted to bias the transport latch into the lock position, the raising of the header into the transport position will actuate the transport latch and lock the lift mechanism from returning the header to the lowered position. The lift linkage incorporates a cam mechanism that serves as an upper flotation limit under normal operating conditions and automatically converts into a device for securing the header in the transport position when the header is moved into the transport position.

Net Spreading Apparatus For Round Baler

View page
US Patent:
52301931, Jul 27, 1993
Filed:
Jun 4, 1992
Appl. No.:
7/894375
Inventors:
Kenneth R. Underhill - Strasburg PA
Michael L. Bandi - Okeechobee FL
Assignee:
Ford New Holland, Inc. - New Holland PA
International Classification:
B65B 1104
US Classification:
53556
Abstract:
An agricultural baler for making cylindrical bales of crop material having a sledge assembly moveable between bale starting and full bale positions. The sledge assembly includes a plurality of rollers which cooperate with an apron to define a bale forming chamber. A dispensing mechanism is carried on the sledge assembly for dispensing sheet material, such as net or the like, into the bale forming chamber whereupon it is wrapped circumferentially around a cylindrical bale of crop material in the bale forming chamber. A net spreading system is associated with the dispensing mechanism to assure that the net being fed into the bale chamber via the dispensing mechanism is maintained at its nominal width which corresponds generally to the width of the chamber.
