Electronic Systems And Methods For Health Analysis From Breath

View page
US Patent:
20230108028, Apr 6, 2023
Filed:
Oct 1, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/958388
Inventors:
Nicholas Grant - Fort Collins CO, US
Pierre Touma - Austin TX, US
Luke Rhone - Midvale UT, US
International Classification:
G01N 33/497
G01N 27/04
Abstract:
A system and method for analyzing an air sample from a human uses a collection module that has a plurality of metal oxide semiconductor sensors that have different resistance responses to different gaseous compounds. A detector circuit reads the output of the sensors as analog signals for both ambient air and the air sample from the human. The ratios of the analog signals from ambient air and from the air sample can be compared to similar information from other health and unhealthy human subjects to determine the health status of the human. In one embodiment the system is used for breath analysis.

Locking System And Method For A Movable Freight Container Door

View page
US Patent:
20200279446, Sep 3, 2020
Filed:
May 17, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/876095
Inventors:
Joseph Hage - Huntington Beach CA, US
Pierre Touma - Austin TX, US
Elias Bachaalany - Halat, LB
Imad Maalouf - El Metn, LB
International Classification:
G07C 9/00
E05B 39/00
E05B 13/00
H04W 4/029
Abstract:
A locking system and method for a movable freight container door comprises an electronic module and a mechanical lock element. The mechanical lock element comprises a shaft, at least of portion of which is configured to be inserted through an aperture in the electronic module, across a door handle retention region, and into a cavity in the electronic module. The shaft is securely retained in the electronic module by moving a lock mechanism to a locked position. At least one magnetic field sensor in the electronic module is used to read the position of the shaft in the cavity by sensing or not sensing one or more magnets in the shaft. A wireless communication component in the electronic module wirelessly transmits magnetic field sensor information.

Redundant Wireless Electronic Motor Vehicle Chassis Monitoring Network

US Patent:
20190172008, Jun 6, 2019
Filed:
Feb 9, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/271825
Inventors:
Joseph Hage - La Canada CA, US
Pierre Touma - Austin TX, US
Elias Bachaalany - Halat, LB
Imad Maalouf - El Metn, LB
International Classification:
G06Q 10/08
G08B 29/04
E05B 45/08
G01D 21/02
G01D 5/14
G01R 33/02
G01S 19/47
Abstract:
A freight tracking system uses a tracking device hidden in the taillight of a vehicle and a remote device located somewhere else on the vehicle. The remote device determines the position of the vehicle using information received from global navigation system satellites and communicates this wirelessly to the tracking device using a mesh network. The tracking device comprises a 9-axis IMU (inertial measurement unit) that uses a fusion filter and a calculation involving digital quaternions to determine inertial information. The vehicle position is compared to geographic boundary information to determine if the vehicle might have gone outside of geographic boundaries. If so, a geofencing alarm is triggered. The device has a tampering detector to ensure that the device is not opened. The alarms, vehicle position, and time information can be communicated to an internet-connected database using a cellular wireless device.
