Abstract:
Polycaprolactone- and chitosan-coated epichlorohydrin-crosslinked alginate (PACE-A) microspheres were prepared by a reproducible polymer dispersion technique that produced recombinant protein-containing particles averaging 8.2 m in size. The PACE-A microspheres of the invention were coated with chitosan and polycaprolactone to increase the mechanical strength and stabilization and to modify the time of antigen release.
