Adaptive Control Of Industrial Automation For Mining Flotation Cells

View page
US Patent:
20210086198, Mar 25, 2021
Filed:
Sep 23, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/578742
Inventors:
- Mayfield Heights OH, US
Corey A. Peterson - Grafton WI, US
Timothy L. Stanford - Mequon WI, US
David C. Mazur - Mequon WI, US
Steven Clohessy - Johannesburg, ZA
Pieter Wolmarans - Johannesburg, ZA
Rob A. Entzminger - Lenexa KS, US
International Classification:
B03D 1/02
G05B 13/02
G05B 13/04
Abstract:
Techniques to facilitate adaptive optimization and control of flotation cell processing are disclosed herein. In at least one implementation, a computing system receives a plurality of flotation cell process variables associated with a flotation cell process. The flotation cell process variables are fed into a machine learning model associated with the flotation cell process to determine improved settings for the flotation cell process. The improved settings for the flotation cell process are provided to an industrial controller that controls at least one aspect of the flotation cell process to improve the flotation cell process.

Automatic Discovery And Persistence Of Data For Industrial Automation Equipment

View page
US Patent:
20210003996, Jan 7, 2021
Filed:
Jul 3, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/503166
Inventors:
- Mayfield Heights OH, US
Andrew J. Schaeffler - Whitefish Bay WI, US
David C. Mazur - Mequon WI, US
Rob Alan Entzminger - Lenexa KS, US
Peter A. Morell - Royalton OH, US
International Classification:
G05B 19/418
H04L 29/08
G06F 16/903
Abstract:
Techniques to facilitate automatic discovery of industrial assets and associated data in an industrial automation environment are disclosed herein. In at least one implementation, a computing system iteratively scans a communication network to automatically detect at least one industrial device on the communication network. The computing system determines a unique identifier of a device type associated with the at least one industrial device detected on the communication network. The computing system determines an identity object for the industrial device and maps the identity object to the unique identifier of the device type associated with the industrial device. Based on the identity object for the industrial device, the computing system establishes communication with the industrial device on the communication network and receives operational data from the industrial device. The computing system processes the operational data received from the industrial device to generate a device profile for the industrial device.

Power System Performance Based On Updated Performance Characteristics Of A Protection Device

View page
US Patent:
20200259323, Aug 13, 2020
Filed:
Feb 8, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/271278
Inventors:
- Mayfield Heights OH, US
Troy M. Bellows - Racine WI, US
Rob A. Entzminger - Lenexa KS, US
Kurt R. Mickler - Waukesha WI, US
Bruce K. Venne - Oak Creek WI, US
John A. Kay - Kitchener, CA
Scott D. Day - Richfield WI, US
International Classification:
H02H 3/42
G06F 1/30
H02H 1/00
Abstract:
Described herein are improvements for a power system by operating the power system using updated performance characteristics for a protection device. In one example, a method includes operating the power system based on a first operational curve for a first protection device of the one or more protection devices. The first operational curve indicates conditions upon which the first protection device will trip. The method also provides obtaining trip information describing conditions that cause the first protection device to trip at each of one or more trip occurrences during operation of the power system. The method further provides adjusting the first operational curve to generate an adjusted first operational curve that reflects the trip information and operating the power system based on the adjusted first operational curve.

Energy Key Performance Indicators For The Industrial Marketplace

US Patent:
20180150917, May 31, 2018
Filed:
Nov 29, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/364129
Inventors:
- Mayfield Height OH, US
David C. Mazur - Mequon WI, US
Scott D. Day - Richfield WI, US
Rob A. Entzminger - Shawnee KS, US
Le Roy G. Howe - Hickory NC, US
Jeffrey Schmelebeck - Oak Creek WI, US
Bruce K. Venne - Oak Creek WI, US
International Classification:
G06Q 50/06
G01R 21/133
G06Q 10/06
Abstract:
Provided herein are systems, methods, and software for calculating energy effectiveness in an industrial automation system. In one implementation, a computing system is directed to at least acquire production energy information indicating the amount of energy used by a machine during a processing period to process one or more parts and acquire process energy information indicating the sum of energy used by the machine during the processing period to process the one or more parts and to not process any parts. The computing system also acquires a total number of parts expected to be processed during the processing period and a total number of good parts processed during the processing period. An overall equipment energy effectiveness is calculated based on a ratio of the production energy information to the process energy information and based on a ratio of the total number of good parts to the total number of parts.

Industrial Automation Asset Modeling And Synchronization

US Patent:
20170343996, Nov 30, 2017
Filed:
May 24, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/163609
Inventors:
- Mayfield Heights OH, US
Rob A. Entzminger - Shawnee KS, US
Peter J. Flickinger - Oak Creek WI, US
David C. Mazur - Mequon WI, US
Jeffrey Schmelebeck - Oak Creek WI, US
Scott D. Day - Richfield WI, US
International Classification:
G05B 19/418
Abstract:
Provided herein are systems, methods, and software to facilitate automatic generation of type-based reporting model and reports associated with an industrial automation environment. In one implementation, one or more computer-readable storage media have program instructions stored thereon, wherein the program instructions, when executed by a computing system, direct the computing system to at least access a source of data containing information related to operation of a system and identify at least one object in the information related to a data property. The program instructions also direct the computing system to create an asset definition of the at least one object, instantiate a model of the at least one object in an asset model based on the asset definition, and generate a report comprising an aspect of the model based on the data property.
