View page
US Patent:
20220219450, Jul 14, 2022
Filed:
Sep 9, 2019
Appl. No.:
17/613978
Inventors:
- Spring TX, US
Stephen Thomas Rohman - Vancouver WA, US
Lorraine T. Golob - Vancouver WA, US
Assignee:
Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. - Spring TX
International Classification:
B41J 2/045
Abstract:
Examples of printing devices and print guides for accurate detection of a print start location are described herein. In some examples, a printing device may include a marker sensor to detect a print start marker on a print guide as the printing device moves on the print guide. The print start marker may be located on the print guide at a distance before a print start location. The print guide may have a reference marker located in relation to the print start location to provide an accurate indication of the print start location to a user. The print guide may be physically separate from a print media. In some examples, the printing device may also include a distance measurement sensor to measure distance traveled by the printing device after detecting the print start marker. The distance measurement sensor may trigger a start of printing at the print start location.

International Classification:
B41J 11/00
B41J 11/42
B41F 23/08
Abstract:
Some examples include a print system including a memory to store instructions and print data of a print job, a processor to execute the instructions in the memory to reference print data of a print job, determine a print parameter of the print job, and transform the print data and the print parameter into a conditioning modifier. The print system includes a print engine to dispense a print substance on a medium based on the print data to generate printed medium, and a conditioner to apply heat and pressure to the printed medium, the conditioner including a pressure roller assembly, and a controller to selectively increase a transport speed the pressure roller assembly based on the conditioning modifier and a position of the printed medium relative to the pressure roller assembly to selectively increase the speed of the printed medium through the conditioner.

Increasing Drying Of Print Job Page To Be Compiled Having Print Fluid At Location Corresponding To Compiling Paddles

View page
US Patent:
20210323321, Oct 21, 2021
Filed:
Jun 7, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/499904
Inventors:
- Spring TX, US
Stephen Thomas Rohman - Vancouver WA, US
Lorraine T. Golob - Vancouver WA, US
International Classification:
B41J 11/00
G06K 15/02
G06K 15/10
Abstract:
A page of a print job is to be compiled by a printing device upon printing. It is determined that at time of compiling, the page will include print fluid, greater than a threshold, at locations corresponding to the compiling paddles. Drying of the page is responsively increased upon the device printing the page.

Media Conditioning

US Patent:
20210323323, Oct 21, 2021
Filed:
Jun 8, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/499961
Inventors:
- Spring TX, US
Stephen Thomas Rohman - Vancouver WA, US
Kevin Lo - Vancouver WA, US
International Classification:
B41J 11/00
B41J 13/02
B41F 23/04
B41J 29/393
Abstract:
In some examples, a conditioner system for a media printed by a printing system includes a media conditioning assembly comprising a heater, the media conditioning assembly to receive the media printed by the printing system after the media has been heated by a dryer in the printing system after printing has occurred on the media. Responsive to a determined moisture content of the media, the heater of the media conditioning assembly controls a temperature of the media, and the media conditioning assembly controls a speed of the media through the media conditioning assembly.

Print Media Modes
