Pick Assembly For Agricultural Seed Product And Pick For The Pick Assembly

View page
US Patent:
20120204774, Aug 16, 2012
Filed:
Feb 16, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/028373
Inventors:
Wayde Altendorf - Hickson ND, US
Michael Nilson - West Fargo ND, US
International Classification:
A01C 7/14
US Classification:
111183
Abstract:
A pick assembly for delivering a seed product from a supply thereof to a delivery location and having a pick wheel and at least a first pick arm assembly on the pick wheel with a first cantilever-mounted pick. The pick: a) penetrates a seed product from a supply and releases the seed product to a delivery location as an incident of the pick wheel turning. The first pick has a body with an exposed surface that tapers over at least a portion of the length of the body. At least one discrete raised holding element is on the exposed surface of the body and has an axial width bounded by axially spaced edges. The one holding element at least one of: a) extends through less than fully around a lengthwise axis of the first pick body; and b) has gaps at both axially spaced edges, each extending along the lengthwise axis a distance greater than the axial width.

US Patent:
20210282534, Sep 16, 2021
Filed:
Mar 30, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/217787
Inventors:
- North St. Paul MN, US
Wayde J. Altendorf - Hickson ND, US
International Classification:
A45D 40/06
Abstract:
A dispenser, such as for lip balm, has a casing, a manually operable dispense mechanism with an actuation dial, lip balm in the casing, and a cap for covering a dispense end. The dispense mechanism included a snap-in actuator that interfaces with cantilevered fingers unitary with the casing. Finger tips interface the actuator at a retention flange for rotatably retaining the actuator within the casing, the finger tips further interface with circumferentially spaced ribs or nubs rearward of the flange for providing a user perceivable tactile clicking and/or a variable rotation resistance upon rotation of the dial. The casing having an enlarged dispense end, a narrowed lower waist region, an exterior surface include an overmolded softened high friction gripping surface on the casing. The exterior surface may include light transmissive portions defining indicia that extend into the casing interior.

Systems And Methods For Fluid Sample Collection And Testing

Kevin Fuller - Chaska MN, US
Wayde J. Altendorf - Hickson ND, US
Assignee:
Marshall Venture Partners LLC - Marshall TX
International Classification:
A61B 10/00
B01L 3/00
G01N 1/28
Abstract:
A fluid sample testing apparatus has a fluid collector tube and a fluid collector in fluid communication with a sample holding container. The fluid collector is inserted into and penetrates the fluid collector tube and pressure is generated to release fluid from the fluid collector into the sample holding container, and air passes outside of the apparatus from the fluid collector tube via a vent path. The vent path is sealed with the fluid collector is fully inserted into the fluid collector tube. Indicator or test strips are optionally included in a stem of the fluid collector.

Inventors:
- Marshall TX, US
Herbert Hunt Allred - Dallas TX, US
Kevin Fuller - Chaska MN, US
Wayde J. Altendorf - Hickson ND, US
Assignee:
Marshall Venture Partners LLC - Marshall TX
International Classification:
B01L 3/00
G01N 1/18
Abstract:
A fluid sample testing apparatus has a housing with a test chamber and first and second fluid collector tubes and first and second fluid collectors in fluid communication with the test chamber. A sample holding container is in fluid communication with the second fluid collector tube. The first fluid collector is inserted into the first fluid collector tube and pressure is generated to release fluid from the first fluid collector into the test chamber, and air passes outside of the apparatus from the test chamber via an opening from the test chamber into the first fluid collector tube. The second fluid collector is inserted into the second fluid collector tube concurrently and pressure is generated to release fluid from the second fluid collector into the sample holding container, and air passes outside of the apparatus from the second fluid collector tube.

Screening Device For Analysis Of Bodily Fluids

View page
US Patent:
20200276577, Sep 3, 2020
Filed:
May 15, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/875583
Inventors:
- Minneapolis MN, US
Wayde J. Altendorf - Hickson ND, US
International Classification:
B01L 3/00
G01N 1/18
A61B 10/00
Abstract:
A screening device for testing saliva for the presence of certain constituents. The device has a D-shaped profile when viewed from above and includes a first wall with planar front face through which all of the test strips are viewed and a curved rear second wall. The device also includes a floor surface with an uppermost portion extending from the rear wall to a lowermost portion at the first wall such that saliva squeezed from a sampler at a location between the upper most portion and the lowermost portion flows downwardly to the test strips.

Multi-Stage Oral-Fluid Testing Device

View page
US Patent:
20200009550, Jan 9, 2020
Filed:
Jul 31, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/050921
Inventors:
- Minneapolis MN, US
Wayde J. Altendorf - Hickson ND, US
Todd Bailey - Shorewood MN, US
International Classification:
B01L 3/00
G01N 33/487
A61B 10/00
Abstract:
In an embodiment, the claimed invention includes an oral-fluid collection and testing device that. is simple to operate. The device includes a body assembly and a cap assembly that are easy to handle by a user. A collection sponge projects from an end of the body assembly for absorbing the oral fluid of a donor, A cap assembly is easily aligned with the body assembly by way of visual alignment indicators on both the body and the cap. Once the cap is aligned with the body, a user simply pushes the cap onto the ‘body, which causes a first stage fluid, flow. More specifically, a buffer fluid is released from the cap and mixes with the oral fluid collected on the sponge—After waiting a short time* the cap is rotated, then pushed again, causing a second-stage fluid flow in which the sponge is compressed such that the buffer fluid/oral fluid exits the sponge and flows toward a. pair of test strips. A user can then easily view the test results by observing a visual indication, such as a color change of the test strips through a viewing window.

US Patent:
20180251281, Sep 6, 2018
Filed:
Feb 28, 2018
Appl. No.:
15/908423
Inventors:
- St. Paul MN, US
Wayde J. Altendorf - Hickson ND, US
International Classification:
B65D 73/00
Abstract:
A packaging arrangement configured to entrap a product while leaving a portion of the product exposed for examination by potential purchasers comprises a card defining an aperture and a retainer fixed to the card with a ring of the retainer extending through the aperture. The ring of the retainer defines a ring opening and a bore extending in a downward direction along a bore axis from the ring opening. A ring opening edge defines a ring opening plane extending in forward, backward, portward, and starboardly directions. The ring may encircle the product so as to limit or prevent translational movement of the product in directions parallel to the ring opening plane. The upper edge of the card may be located proximate an upper surface of the product so as to limit or prevent translational movement of the product in the upward direction.
